Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there!

I celebrated with my Mom and Grandma out at Joe's Farm Grill in Gilbert, AZ. It is a great restaurant which uses fresh produce the large garden within the property. It has even been featured on The Food Network show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Hope you enjoy these pictures of the grape vines which act as a fence for the gardens.

I recently found this amazing bookstore in Maastricht, Netherlands called Boekhandel Selexyz Dominicanen. The space is in an Dominica church and was redesigned by Dutch architects Merkx + Girod. This place just makes you want to pick up a book and start reading.

Here in Phoenix, I am in a book club with an amazing group of young women. We meet every few months to discuss our latest book....well to be honest we talk about the book for about 30 minutes and spend most of our time drinking wine, eating, and talking about our lives. Currently we are reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. But, wouldn't it be great to have a book club meeting here ladies?

Hope you enjoy these photos I took on one of the many beautiful sunny days here at the Desert Botanical Gardens. These photos are from Dale Chihuly's "The Nature Of Glass" exhibition, that took place last year. A lot of the pieces are permanent installations in the gardens. So, if you are here in the valley and have not experienced his work, I recommend taking a visit.
